Sunday I decided to go canoeing. I brought the dog. (She’s just so darn cute, I had to post her again.) It was going to be a great day out on the lake. I was prepared. I had my Tervis Tumbler full of icy sweet tea, my camera-equipped cell phone to capture a few… Read More Don’t Tippy the Canoe
Don’t let her confidence fool you. This is SugarPie’s first time in a boat. This was Saturday. More about that one-way trip across the lake later, but here’s a clue: I am just starting to recover from the acute itch of a swarm of mosquito bites.
My little brother Steve and I enjoyed a fun walk to the mailbox this evening. There’s adventure in everything with a 10 year old. First, we brought along the dogs. Then of course we had to round up all the dogs. We are dog people. Can you tell? We had to stop for a few doggie kisses.… Read More Doggie Kisses
Here’s a collection of photos I took this afternoon while spending time with my family. We decided to serve our traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner (corned beef, cabbage, carrots, cornbread and potatoes) on Saturday so our whole family could be together. My sister adores her horses. I’m just starting to get used to them. That stomach-in-your-throat jolt every time I’m around them is gone, but I’m not keen on being too close, unless it is Spitfire or Razzer. Spitfire, aka Money of Joy, and Razzer (not sure of his “legal” name) are the sons of my… Read More Camden Classic horse show
Soft spring sunset. Long work day. Almost home. Somewhere in Tattnall County.
One of my favorite blooming trees is in full bloom in Atlanta. The saucer magnolia is what I always called a tulip tree until I was corrected, rather rudely. I don’t remember the correctee but I do remember the condescending correction. “Tulips can too be trees!! So there!!” <>
I love finding signs on the sides of buildings, and when they are advertising Coca-Cola – all the better. I finally got around to snapping a picture of this sign today on my way to my parents. I only wish I could have stopped to take a photo of an old Pure gas station about 10… Read More Coke sign in McDonough, GA
I love to design random things on picnik.com. This was made from the last photo in the previous post.
