This tree is at a rest stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway not too far from Asheville. I want to go back one day and see if the lichen completely covered the tree.

This is what I woke up to this morning: a pile of miniature stuffed toys and an 11-year-old watching his morning cartoons. Who is “Awesome Guy”? This has been going on since about 6:30. Morning child meets late night child. Big sister plans to reinstate naps today – for her.
It’s definitely looking and feeling like the beginning of Fall in Atlanta today. I enjoyed a walk at twilight with my pups. This was my distraction to stay away from the pumpkin spice lattes down the street. Didn’t need to spend the money nor the calories. It worked.
