Time to pull the plug

I used to make time to sit in the grass and blow bubbles.

Lately I’ve been reminiscing over things I used to enjoy doing. Things I used to make time for:

– Writing on this blog,

– Reading real books, not just Facebook posts.

– Playing games like Solitare, Uno or Scrabble, the real ones, not Candy Crush on my iPhone and then on the laptop (I get extra lives that way).

– Taking photos with my camera not on my phone.

– Taking naps, instead of turning on the TV and zoning out in front of it, while doing two of the items above.

I think I’m due for an “unplugged” session this weekend. Sometimes I just need to use a pen and paper, and read a magazine, backwards cover to cover, like I used to do. Pinterest is great and all – and I can search it, but sometimes I just want to go back to a non-digital age. That or I need to start doing some of the projects I’ve been pinning, for months.

How do you unplug?
